The category of “number” in the linguistic picture of the world (Based on the english and kazakh languages)

Abstract

Phraseological fund is an indispensable material for studying the culture of nations. Through phraseologisms we can identify and understand people’s attitude to different qualifications of intentions, understand their system of values and ideals. The work examines the semantics of phraseological units, a characteristic feature of which is their anthropocentric focus, implying a close connection of the language with a person, his consciousness, thinking and spiritual and practical activity.
