Article is devoted disclosing of structure and the maintenance of a position of protection in criminal legal proceedings by means of research of tactical and strategic means and ways of the decision criminally? Properties, signs of a position of protection are opened, its basic elements are allocated, made demands to formation of a position of protection are considered. The role and value of protection in criminal legal proceedings is shown.
