The paper considers the question of self-organization of tribological systems in the presence of a thin film of grease. It is shown that the decisive role in the process of friction between two bodies is the surface tension at the interface. Examples of the assessment of the surface tension of pure metals and alloys. To assess the level of organization of tribological systems the criterion Aleksandrov-Bogolepov. It is shown that in the case of self-organization of tribological systems the number of control parameters decreases sharply, which facilitates both theoretical consideration of friction, so its practical use and management.ru_RU
