The digital economy as the global trend that defines a new paradigm of development

Abstract

The article outlines the goals and objectives of the digital economy. The role of the digital segment of the economy in the activities of a modern enterprise is determined. It is concluded that the main reason for the expansion of the digital segment of the economy is the growth of the transactional sector (public administration, information services, consulting, finance, wholesale and retail trade, services, etc.). The problems of the development of the digital economy in Kazakhstan are identified.
